Remembering Nibbles!

Beloved cat Nibbles passed today, she was 16+ yrs old, an adorable girl who brightened my days just being around, smart, cute, experienced and a real cuddler, super sweetie, unless you were another cat. She was always up for snacks and hugs. A traveler, Nibbles lived on both coasts with Gil and Bob. She was active until her last morning, I would've never predicted todays situation by her activity last night, she was just learning climb all over the microwave! By this am, her health had failed her and it was clear she was passing. She couldn't walk and was slipping away.

She was terrific company for the years she lived at 70 7th Ave.
Heres some tribute pix I posted to friends to celebrate her and a art print I generated for gil and me to have a totem to remember.

Nothing special to report, just the end of Gawker, and the race to the elections this fall.
Heres your sandwich!

I hadn't put up anything here in a long time, so I figured I'd throw up a sketch of some recent work. I spent the weekend reconfiguring some paintbrushes I bought for photoshop

kyle t webster @ gumroad

into useful brushes for the newest version of painter, and while I was doing it, I doodled this copyright tugger.
Despite the limitations of PSD brushes, the Kyle W products are pretty consistently great, although I am moving away from Photoshop and using Corel Painter most of the time for comp work.

So Im stuck in the office over the Xmas break, and listening to a culling of the best 12" proposed for 2014 from a few choice web forums [saves me time thinking about record shopping so much anymore] and picking out my personal favorites for the year.
In the spirit of holiday giving, heres a Work In Progress of a illustration I was fiddling with over the past year, but not in any real hurry to finish it. Its a fantasy about my cats invading the cafe below my apartment where I used to work, and the hijinks that ensue.
Enjoy and comment, its Easy-NYC.

Heres the original idea sketch,
pretty much has it all already!

And heres the work in progress version.

Anyway, hope anybody who sees this has a terrific holiday!!

toonzes duff Mr hershal kitty
Hey just to keep the page updated with some new content, heres' a shot of the next generation cats on 7th Ave. A real pair of characters, them. Baby Atlas and Franklin. Girl and a boy, just like a Madonna song. Been listening to so much new music my eyes are crossed, theres still a lot of good music going on, but for a bit, this sites going to be more art oriented, so stay tuned.

Also some wall art I had made from some polaroids and candids of the first generation of 7th Ave cats, as a tribute and memorial for them.

One last thing, Daniel Avery has some real hot shit stuff out there now, really good, so look for him.

Happier New Year!

Heres a comic  -  I don't know what it means, I was drawing in dark lighting while watching congress fight. Came out ok, so its #1.

Did a huge playlist for a xmas party that came out great, not much new going on for me with music, excepting that Black Light Smoke / Switchback record from the Weatherall comp, very entertaining. Click on it, it gets bigger.
See you soon.
